Carrie and Yophiel first crossed paths at Regent University’s School of Communication and the Arts. There, Carrie pursued her Master of Arts, specializing in Directing for Cinema and Television, and honed her skills in the dynamic world of visual storytelling. Before her time at Regent, she cultivated her artistic talents at Franciscan University, where she studied graphic design with an emphasis on print media.
After graduating, she embarked on her professional journey as a Senior Videographer for CBN, a role that immersed her in the vibrant world of visual storytelling. Her remarkable cinematography skills quickly caught the attention of producers, leading to a flurry of requests for her captivating work. This position provided her with the exciting opportunity to travel the globe, where she skillfully captured stunning footage for a variety of projects, including compelling features, tense presidential races, and intimate interviews. In 2010, her talent and dedication were recognized with a promotion to Producer for 700 Club Interactive, a position that allowed her to unleash her creativity on a larger scale. During her time in this role, she explored innovative storytelling methods and worked on dynamic projects that resonated with audiences. She continued in television production for another four years until she started a family, after which she transitioned to freelancing. In 2024, Carrie accepted a position on the board of a local community outreach organization called Kalamoo. She assists using her multimedia background and consults on events that impact southeastern Virginia.
Since they met, Carrie has been Yophiel’s go-to partner in all their creative ventures!

Yophiel founded Ephesus Historical Consulting & Productions while working as a historical consultant for a docudrama produced by the Christian Broadcasting Network. Prior to this, she had a career as a high school history teacher, Bible teacher, and coach. After several years in education, she returned to school to pursue a Master of Arts with a focus on Producing for Cinema and Television.
Shortly after graduating from film school, Yophiel began to explore the theological and archaeological mystery of the Nephilim. She presented her research in the appendices of her novel Sons of God. This innovative approach, blending scholarly inquiry with narrative, caught the attention of Yale University, resulting in an invitation to apply for its 2009 Religion and the Arts Grant. This opportunity involved teaching two classes at Yale while developing another media project that would incorporate more doctorate-level research on various religions, mirroring her work in Sons of God. Ultimately, she decided not to apply to focus on completing the Sons of God series.
Yophiel has always been captivated by historical, theological, and metaphysical mysteries. Her remarkable research skills have impressed and fascinated her readers. A dedicated lifelong learner, she believes that there is no end to knowledge. Due to her supernatural experiences and spiritual gifts, she has spent an exhaustive amount of time rationalizing, understanding, and explaining such occurrences through all facets of possibility.
